This page describes the processing of personal data of users who consult the content or collaborate with the site in the production of content.

By using one or more features of the Site, users accept this policy and are therefore invited to take a look before providing personal information of any kind.

The purpose of this document is to inform the user (hereinafter referred to as “interested party”) of the Site that the Managing Director – Luigi Zito, email info@aequitasmagazine.it –  is the Controller of personal data processing of the Journal. The privacy and security of the personal data of the interested party are very important and therefore personal data is collected and managed with the utmost care and attention, adopting appropriate and adequate security measures to store it.

The information is given in compliance with art. 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 to all users who, interacting with the Site, provide their personal data.

The information contained in this page is valid for the Site, both in the web version and in the mobile application version.

Purpose of processing

The processing of personal data, voluntarily provided by the interested party, is carried out by the Data Controller for the following purposes:

  1. Contact and collaboration: registration and authentication (to allow the interested party to access and be identified on the Site, to create an account with their access as a “registered user”); support (to respond to requests and resolve user issues); interactions with social media or other external web platforms; circulation of communications using the email address provided by the data subject.
  2. Statistical Analysis & Recognition of the accesses of the collaborating user (for statistical analysis on aggregated and anonymous data).
  3. Proper functioning of the web pages and their contents.

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data voluntarily provided by the user

Requests, communications and proposals for cooperation can be submitted through the email addresses and the contact form provided on the page “Collaborate With Us”. The provision of such data is necessary to respond to requests or attend to communications and proposals for cooperation.

In particular, personal data is provided by the interested party for the purpose of using the services of the Site, including collaboration for the production of content.

The Data Controller is not to collect or process personal data relating to minors.

By accessing the Site and using the services offered, the interested party declares that he or she is of legal age. Users under 18 years of age are therefore advised not to share personal data.

Types of processed data

Personal data is processed only in relation to the purposes for which they are collected and these can be:

Identification and contact data (e.g. name, surname, gender, tax code, residence or address, email, telephone, etc.).

Data of navigation and use of the Site (e.g. pages visited, actions taken, duration of sessions, etc.).

Data on training, education, scientific, technical, work and study skills, job assignments, work activities  (e.g. profession, company name, curriculum vitae, scientific publications, titles, qualifications, etc.)

Such personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and applicable national legislation, including any measures issued by the Supervisory Authority (Guarantor for the protection of personal data) where applicable.

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this site acquire, in the course of their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implied by the use of Internet communication protocols.

This data category includes the IP addresses or domain names of computers and terminals used by users, the URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and computer environment.

Processing Methods

The processing of data will be carried out in accordance with methods and procedures strictly necessary for the pursuit of the purposes for which they were collected via electronic devices.

In order to avoid incurring into the risk of data loss, illegal use, incorrect use of the same, unauthorized access, alteration, appropriate technological and management security measures have been taken. Personal data is processed by the Controller, by authorised personnel or by personnel specially appointed as Processors.

At any time, the interested party may request the complete list of Controllers appointed from time to time from the Controller. The Controllers are responsible for processing data for the purposes set out above.

Data retention

The Controller adopts the following policies regarding the retention of data of users of the Site:

The data provided in the contact forms or emails sent to the contacts published on the Site will be stored in the electronic archive of the Journal’s collaborators in any capacity (non-exhaustive list: Members of the Scientific Committee, External Reviewers, Authors and proponents of contributions).

The data provided during registration and necessary for creating the user profile will be kept until the user’s account is closed.

Browsing data will be stored as per cookie policy.

Exercise of Rights

The interested party may exercise, at any time, their rights provided for by art. 15 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 by emailing info@aequitasmagazine.it or writing to the Director Luigi Zito, via Antonio Guerra 45 – 80021 Afragola (NA). The interested party, if the conditions are met, also has the right to complain to the Guarantor – as a supervisory authority – if they feel that the processing of their personal data takes place in violation of what is provided by the current legislation.
